Latest News:

7/3/10: This past weekend the team was pulling double duty and
different tracks. Kyle was racing in Tioga Center, NY at Shrangri-La
II Speedway and Bill Kimball Jr was running the modified at Monadnock
Speedway. Poodiack Racing would like to thank Bill Burgoyne who made
the trip out to NY to help on Kyle's car and Lisa Patnode and Dennis
Hardy who helped at Monadnock Speedway. Kyle started in the 6th
position for the heat race and moved all the way to third by the end
of the race. Next up was the 25 lap feature race on the 1/2 mile
concrete track. On the start the #44 and #9 and Kyle broke away from
the pack but Kyle didn't have anything for the 1st or 2nd place cars.
A late caution bunched the field back up for a green  white checker
finish. Kyle got a good start and was able to get a bumper up along
the #9 but at the checkers wasn't able to make the pass and finished
in the 3rd spot. It was a good points weekend as Kyle took over the
top spot in the points. It should be a good points battle with the
#44 and #9 for the rest of the year.
Bill Kimball Jr. had a very good night at Monadnock for Poodiack
Racing as he was able to claim his first win of the season in the 30
lap feature race over the #88 of Russ Hersey. He was able to extend
his points lead in the division and is the first time that both
drivers are leading the points in each of their divisions. Great job
by the team and drivers over the long holiday weekend. Next up Kyle
will be back at Monadnock Speedway this coming Saturday and will be
looking for his first win of the season. See everyone at the track...

6/26/10: The team travelled to Rougemont, NC this past weekend for
the 75 lap North-South shootout at Orange County Speedway. The
weather was hot to say the least averaging high 90's and humid all
weekend long. The team practiced the car on Friday making changes to
the car for the race on Saturday. Kyle qualified 14th with a time of
16.86 out of 24 cars. Tyler Hill grabbed the pole with a time of
16.33.  Kyle was happy with his time which was the quickest he had
run all weekend long and felt the car would be good during the race.
Kyle and the team had planned to run the car easy in the first half
of the race and then make a charge towards the front with 25 laps to
go. The race had some early cautions for cars spinning but Kyle kept
to the plan and slowly started moving up in positions as the race
went on. With 15 laps left Kyle was in the 10th spot and started
making his way by cars one by one. Kyle had some good side by side
racing with the cars from the South series with each driver giving
each other room to race. When the checkers flew Kyle had made his way
to the 7th position. Kyle was also the highest finisher from the
North series. Congrats to the #1 of Justin Allison who won the race
but the team was very happy with the results and look forward to
racing with the South series again. This coming weekend the team will
need to split up with Bill Kimball Jr who is leading the points at
Monadnock in the Sportsman Modified who have a race on Saturday night
with Kyle heading to Shangri-La II Motor Speedway in Tioga Center, NY
to race at the 1/2 mile concrete oval for the first time. See
everyone at the track...

5/22/10: Kyle started in third spot in his heat race and moved around the #26 by lap 4 to take over the lead and took down his 2nd heat race win of the season. Kyle would start outside pole for the 25 lap feature race. Kyle ran in the top 5 for the whole race with a very tight car. With 6 laps to go Kyle and the #81 ran side by side for 3 laps for the third spot. Kyle fell back to fourth but on the last lap going into turn 3 the fifth place car #26 tried to go under Kyle and slid up into the rear bumper and both cars spun. Kyle was able to get the car pointed straight and came across in the 8th spot. The team was disappointed but that's racing. Kyle is back in action at Monadnock Speedway on June 5th and on Sunday starts racing his Sr. Champ at the new Twin State Speedway kart track. See everyone at the track...

5/15/10: Kyle started on the pole in the 2nd heat race and was leading when contact between the #18 and #3 and the #81 sent the three cars spinning. Kyle was able to get his car straightened out and continued to hold the lead while the caution flew.  Right side fender damage but Kyle was able to stay on the track and lead the rest of the laps to take down the win. 17 cars took the green for the 25 lap feature which was filled with 8 cautions. Half way through the race Kyle was running in the 5th spot when he spun in turn four collecting the #5 car who was an innocent victim. Kyle radioed in saying that there was fluid in the corner but had to come to the pits to have the front nose piece taped back on. Kyle started in the back and worked his way back up through the field to take down the 3rd spot at the checkers. Congrats to the #81 of Paul Tuthill for taking down the victory.

Bill started in the 5th spot in the first heat race with the Sportsman modified and moved up into the 3rd spot. The #29 was leading the race but was having trouble getting off the corners and jammed everyone up in turn 4 with a spin. Bill slowed down enough to get through the accident but then got hit from behind sending him into the crash. The car received left front suspension damage and was done for the heat race. The team fixed the car and Bill started 10th in the 12 car field for the 30 lap feature race. The car was working fine and he was moving his way to the front when the lead car got loose coming off turn 4 and hit the #88 sending him spinning and causing a multiple car pile up on the front stretch. Bill again was going to make it through but got hit in the right rear causing a flat. The put on a new tire and got him back out before the race went green. Bill worked his way from the back to the front and at the checkers finished in the 4th spot. Next up is Waterford Speedbowl next Saturday night for the Allison Legacy car. See everyone at the track...

3/27/10: The weekend started off with some sparks just getting to the track on Thursday night. While travelling on 190 just outside Worcester MA. at 70mph the trailer decided it wanted to pass the motor home. The hitch on the motor home broke completely off leaving the trailer to go on by itself. The trailer rode down the side of a guard rail then caught the grass on the side of the road on fire then finally coming to rest 2ft from slamming into a set of ledges off the highway. It took a tow company 1 1/2 hrs to get the trailer back up to the road where they were able to tow it down to their shop. The team had called back home and had Theresa Kimball bring the pickup down to them so they could still bring the trailer to the track. The trailer has some damage but it could have been alot worse. Friday's practice went well as the team tested both cars and decided to go with the car they had picked up from Tuthill Racing to race on Saturday night in the 25 lap feature race. Kyle started 6th out of the 15 car field and by lap 2 had moved into the 4th spot. On lap 17 Kyle was lapping a car going into turn 3 and got to high and spun out bringing out the caution. Kyle restarted at the back of the field and worked his way all the way back up to the 5th spot when the checkers flew. The team was very happy with the new car and how the weekend went. Congrats to the #44 team and James Logan on picking up the first win of the season. Next up is Lee USA Speedway on April 17th. See everyone at the track...
